Vol. 280 No. 12

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Firms in Liquidation.

21.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the number of firms that have gone into liquidation since 1st January last.

According to the returns filed with the Registrar of Companies up to 24th April, 1975, the number of companies which went into liquidation since 1st January, 1975, is 117.

How many companies had receivers appointed to them in that period?

I do not have that information.

Is there any analysis done as to the reasons why these firms closed down, such as failure of management, industrial disputes, lack of capital and so on?

That is a separate question. All the question here asks for is the number.

I can give some information, but not all the information the Deputy wants.

Question No. 22.
