Vol. 281 No. 1

Written Answers. - Pay-Related Benefit.

268.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will arrange for payment of pay-related benefit to a person (name supplied) in County Cork.

The pay-related benefit scheme provides that where the weekly rate of flat-rate benefit payable to a person is equal to or greater than his weekly earnings as reckoned for the purposes of that scheme, pay-related benefit shall not be payable. The person concerned is entitled to a weekly rate of unemployment benefit which exceeded his reckonable earnings in the relevant tax year and, accordingly, pay-related benefit is not payable in his case.
