Vol. 281 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Money Safeguards.

34.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is satisfied that present arrangements are adequate to safeguard the holding of money in banks, post offices and other such concerns; and if he proposes to ask them to take any extra steps which will give added security.

(Cavan): The arrangements to safeguard the holding of money in banks, post offices and other such concerns are, of course, primarily matters for the concerns themselves. The Garda Síochána provide expert advice, on request, in the case of premises where large sums of money or valuables are held and the security arrangements at such premises are kept under constant review by the owners and managers in consultation with the gardaí.
