Vol. 281 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dependent Children's Allowance.

16.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare the reason for the delay in deciding the application by a person (name supplied) in County Galway for a dependent children's allowance.

The delay in deciding the application of the person concerned for increases in his old age pension in respect of his two dependent grandchildren was due to the fact that the appeals officer to whom the case had been referred sought additional information which necessitated further inquiries.
