Institiúid Teangeolaíochta Éireann, a limited company under the Companies Act, is in receipt of a grant-in-aid from my Department. The primary objective of the Institiúid is to carry out research into all aspects of language learning and teaching, with particular reference to the Irish language. Having drawn up a comprehensive research programme, the Institiúid has completed and reported on certain relevant research projects and is currently engaged in other such projects.
