(a) In 1974, the corporation changed its accounting system, which has changed its method of calculating profits. In effect the provision for bad and doubtful debts which had been previously charged against the profits is now included in the revenue reserves.

(b) These figures represent the average employment in the company during the year.

(c) In 1973, the company changed the basis of accounting for Provisions in its Accounts, which were previously written off in the revenue reserves. Provisions are now written off in the company's profit and loss account.

(d) These figures represent surpluses on periodic valuations.

(e) These figures represent premium income from abroad.
