Vol. 282 No. 6

Excess Vote, 1972-73. - Vote 38: Agriculture.

I move:

That a sum not exceeding £76,927,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of December, 1975, for the salaries and expenses of the Office of the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries, including certain services administered by that Office and for payment of certain subsidies and sundry grants-in-aid.

On a point of order, I protest.

Acting Chairman

We cannot have any discussion or any questions now. It has already been agreed that the outstanding Votes will be put at 2.25 p.m.

This is a most important Estimate and it is being rushed through here without debate. I am totally against this.

We were here to talk to you all the morning.

Ministers were not. That is an exaggeration.

Vote put and agreed to.
