Vol. 282 No. 7

Written Answers. - Offaly Social Welfare Applicant.

325.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why unemployment assistance has not been paid to a person in County Offaly (name supplied) who applied six weeks ago.

Unemployment assistance has not been paid to the person concerned as it has been decided by a deciding officer that the person's weekly rate of means, assessed for the purposes of the Unemployment Assistance Acts, exceed the maximum rate of assistance applicable in his case. It is open to the person in question, if he so desires, to appeal against the decision to an appeals officer.
