asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce the total floor area of advance factories built by the IDA during each of the years ended 31st December, 1972, 1973 and 1974; the estimate for 1975; and the locations of advance factories being built by the IDA in 1975 and the total floor area of each factory.

I have been informed by the Industrial Development Authority that their records for factory construction in past years relate to financial years. In the financial years 1972-73 and 1973-74 the total floor area of advance factories completed was 196,957 sq. ft. and 72,381 sq. ft. respectively. In the period April-December, 1974, the area was 24,127 sq. ft. The authority estimate that during 1975 they will complete construction on 20 advance factories with a total floor area of 354,654 sq. ft. Details of the locations and floor area of these are set out hereunder:
