I have seen the newspaper report to which the Deputy refers. The matter has been the subject of a subsequent report to the council by the county manager. Decisions as to any action on the manager's report are matters for the council and I understand that at a meeting on the 23rd inst the council deferred further consideration of the matter to their next meeting.
