Vol. 283 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Labour and Employment Statistics.

22.

asked the Minister for Labour if statistics relating to labour and employment activities in the EEC are available to him and his Department: and, if so, the circumstances under which and the manner in which he acquires them.

Statistics relating to labour and employment activities in the EEC are available to me and to my Department.

The statistics are available from EEC publications which the Department receives and from working papers and documents prepared by the EEC Commission for meetings in which the Department are involved.

Will the Minister make the information available to members of the House through questions or through communications with Deputies?

Does the Deputy want the names of the publications?

No. I want to get an assurance from the Minister that if a Deputy puts down a question in relation to those statistics he will get the information.
