Vol. 283 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Monaghan Postmaster.

53.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the name of the successful applicant for the office of postmaster for Latnamard Post Office, County Monaghan; and if he is satisfied that the successful applicant's premises are suitable.

Any appointment to the office of postmaster at Latnamard will be subject to the condition that adequate accommodation for the sub-post office will be provided. As no applicant has as yet been formally appointed, I do not consider it appropriate to disclose any name at this stage.

Can the Minister tell us when an applicant will be appointed?

Shortly, I hope.

Is the Minister aware that some of the people who applied for the post office have been informed that they were unsuccessful?

I am not so aware.

Will he have the matter examined?
