asked the Taoiseach if he will give the total number of (a) breeding sows and (b) other pigs on the latest available date in 1975 and on the same date for each of the past five years.

asked the Taoiseach if he will give the total number of (a) breeding ewes, (b) lambs and (c) other sheep on the latest available date in 1975 and on the same date for each of the past five years.

6.

asked the Taoiseach if he will give the total number of (a) cattle under one year, (b) cattle under two years, (c) cattle under three years, (d) cows in suckling herds and (e) cows supplying creamery milk on the latest available date in 1975 and on the same date for each of the past five years.

I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to take Questions Nos. 4, 5 and 6 together, and to circulate in the Official Report a statement giving the available information.

The most recent date for which information on the number of pigs is available is 1 April, 1975. Since April figures are not available prior to 1973, information relating to 1 June for five years is given below. Data for June, 1975, are not yet available.
