Statistics relating to building society loan applications on hands are available at quarterly intervals. The total value of such applications at 31st March in 1973, 1974 and 1975 was £39.89 million, £25.97 million, and £22.76 million, respectively.
Will the Minister state if there has been an increasing trend?
Up until last March. I am sure the Deputy will be glad to hear that approximately £60 million will be on loan by the end of this year.
I hope the Minister is right.
