Vol. 286 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Ornamental Trees.

10.

asked the Minister for Lands if he has considered the desirability of providing a service from the Forestry Division of his Department which would maintain the many stands of ornamental trees in towns and villages; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

(Cavan): The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. I did indicate in reply to a previous question by the Deputy that I would be happy to have my Department offer any necessary advice on the care of town or village trees if such advice were sought by a local government authority.
