Vol. 286 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Dublin Shopping Centre Sub-Post Office.

11.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if, in view of the increased numbers of people now living in the Greenhills/Limekiln Farm areas, Walkinstown, Dublin, he will consider having a new sub-post office at the shopping centre in the area.

Development in the area since I replied to previous related questions by the Deputy on 24th April and 10th July last has been reviewed. However, the position remains as stated in those replies. That is, that the provision of an additional post office would not be warranted. There are two post offices, at Walkinstown and Perrystown, which are both only about three-quarters of a mile away from Limekiln Farm shopping centre. The matter will be kept under development in the general area.
