asked the Minister for Education why dancing classes are not allowed at Killeigh national school, County Offaly.

Subject to the approval of the school management authority dancing may be taught during school hours as part of the curriculum for national schools provided that, as laid down in the rules for national schools, no fee is levied on the pupils. Accordingly, my Department have no objection to the teaching of dancing at Killeigh national school within reasonable limits as to time.

asked the Minister for Education when additional accommodation will be made available to Kilcormac national school, County Offaly.

The preliminary arrangements for the provision of this additional accommodation are almost complete. The date of commencement of the works will have to be considered in the context of the capital allocation for 1976.
