asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange to have a public telephone kiosk provided at Balrothery, County Dublin.

Kiosks are not being provided in rural areas such as Balrothery, County Dublin, where there is no post office.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the present number of applicants awaiting telephones in Balbriggan, County Dublin; and when they can expect service to be provided.

About 125. It is expected that most of these will be cleared in the second half of the current year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the number of persons awaiting telephones in the Malahide/Portmarnock district, County Dublin; and when he hopes to provide service.

It is expected that most of the applications in question will be attended to during the current year.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the action he intends to take to replace the post office in Donaghmede, County Dublin, which was recently transferred to Kilbarrack shopping centre.

I recently approved of the appointment of a new postmaster for the Donaghmede area and arrangements are being made for the opening of the new sub-post office there.
