Vol. 287 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wexford Housing Site.

40.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries when he proposes to introduce the necessary amending legislation to enable Wexford County Council to acquire a site for housing purposes on the Johnstown Castle estate; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Negotiations are still proceeding between the Wexford County Council and An Foras Talúntais regarding the acquisition of certain areas of the estate by the council both for housing and for other purposes. I will be in a position to proceed with the amending legislation when details of the areas to be acquired are agreed upon.
