The total acreage of beet grown under contract for the Irish Sugar Company in 1974 was 63,307 acres and the estimated figure for 1975 is 82,000 acres.
I propose, with the permission of the Ceann Comhairle, to circulate with the Official Report a statement giving data received from the Irish Sugar Company on the acreage per county in respect of the year 1974. Similar information for 1975 is not yet available.
