The projects to be included in the Community's programme of research relating to animal manures have been agreed upon and contracts for the execution of these projects have recently been placed by the EEC Commission with various institutions in the member countries. The period envisaged for completion of the projects is approximately 3¼ years and as the contracts placed have effect only from 1st October, 1975, the programme is as yet, only in its initial stages.
