asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries the plans for the improvement of landing facilities at the following points in Bere Island, County Cork : (a) Oilean na gCaorach (b) Ballinakilla and (c) Laurence Cove.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he will sanction at an early date proposals to improve and extend the pier at Lehanebeg, Cahermore P.O. near Castletownbere, County Cork where landing facilities for fishermen are inadequate.

My Department have asked the Office of Public Works to furnish engineering reports and estimates of costs in respect of improvement works at the places mentioned in the questions. Until these reports are received and examined in my Department I cannot say what plans, if any, for such works may be formulated or what grants may be given by my Department towards the cost.
