Vol. 288 No. 3

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Telephone Service.

29.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the need for an extra kiosk in Lismore, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The use made of the existing kiosk in Lismore is not sufficient to justify provision of an additional kiosk there.

30.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the poor telephone service in Lismore, County Waterford; if he will take steps to improve it; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Extra trunk lines will be provided on the routes between Lismore and Dungarvan and Lismore and Waterford later this year to improve the service at Lismore during busy periods. Otherwise the service at Lismore is regarded as satisfactory.
