Vol. 288 No. 3

Written Answers. - Phoenix Park, Dublin.

42.

asked the Minister for Finance if the position of assistant park superintendent in the Phoenix Park, Dublin has been filled; and, if so, who secured the position and his special qualifications.

I would refer the Deputy to the reply to a question on 22nd April, 1975, in which it was stated that arising out of a reorganisation of the supervisory structure in the Phoenix Park the former post of assistant superintendent has been suppressed.

43.

asked the Minister for Finance when the Bye-Laws, 1926, in respect of the Phoenix Park, Dublin will be updated.

Revision of the Phoenix Park bye-laws has been under consideration for some time but I cannot say when new bye-laws are likely to be made.

44.

asked the Minister for Finance the proposals, if any, to improve the playing pitches in the Phoenix Park, Dublin.

Apart from the carrying out of routine maintenance and repairs and the possible resting of the pitches on a rotational basis, there are no proposals for undertaking any major improvements to the playing pitches in the Phoenix Park.
