Vol. 288 No. 7

Written Answers. - Laois Farm.

49.

asked the Minister for Lands if the Land Commission will give a farm (details supplied) in County Laois to a person (name supplied).

, Cavan): As the Deputy is, no doubt, aware, the matter of the selection of allottees for lands acquired by the Land Commission is one which is reserved by law to the lay commissioners.

I understand that a decision has not yet been taken in regard to the allocation of the holding concerned. The application of the person referred to in the question will be fully considered, in competition, of course, with other applications received, but it is not possible at this stage to forecast the outcome.
