Vol. 288 No. 9

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Sligo School.

24.

asked the Minister for Education the position regarding repairs to Achonry national school, County Sligo.

I am informed that the wood in one window in the school named by the Deputy is rotting. The Commissioners of Public Works have been asked to report whether this defect has arisen through lack of proper maintenance, in which instance its repair would be a charge on the ordinary maintenance grants paid to the board of management of the school, or if it is attributable to the use of faulty materials in the building of the school, in which instance a special grant might be made towards the cost of the remedial works required.
