Vol. 289 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Pay Pause Survey.

20.

Mr. Gibbons

asked the Minister for Finance the marketing surveys that have been carried out to establish what the public thinks about an income and wages pause; by whom the surveys were conducted; and if he will make copies of the findings available to the public.

Two surveys, entitled "Pay Restraint, A Survey of Public Opinion", have been conducted by the Irish Marketing Surveys Limited in October, 1975 and January 1976, to establish the attitude of the public on pay developments. The first survey was reported by the main media on 12th December, 1975, and the later survey on 27th January, 1976.
