Vol. 289 No. 7

Written Answers. - Wage Rates.

50.

asked the Taoiseach the current rates of wages payable to forestry workers, agricultural workers and county council workers, including the fourth phase of the national agreement, 1975, in the form of a reply of 16th December, 1975.

The following statement gives for each county the present (a) basic weekly time rate of wages paid to forestry workers for a 40 hour week (b) weekly rates of wages, excluding service pay, paid by county councils to road workers for a 40-hour week and (c) minimum weekly rates payable to adult male agricultural workers under the Agricultural Wages (Minimum Rates) (No. 2) Order, 1975. These rates apply to a 44-hour week in the period November to February inclusive and to a 50-hour week during the remainder of the year. In the case of forestry workers an incentive bonus is payable in addition to the basic weekly time rates. The fourth phase of the national wage agreement is included where applicable.
