Written Answers. - Publicly Financed Contracts.

48.

asked the Minister for Health if he will give details of publicly financed contracts which have been postponed or cancelled; and the estimated cost of each individual project.

No existing contracts for publicly financed hospital building projects have been postponed or cancelled.

Contracts for day-to-day supplies are matters for the health boards and other public authorities concerned and I have no information of the postponement or cancellation of contracts in such cases.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare if he will give details of publicly financed contracts which have been postponed or cancelled; and the estimated cost of each individual project.

No publicly financed contracts have been postponed or cancelled by my Department.

No publicly financed contract placed by my Department has been postponed or cancelled in the current financial year.

asked the Minister for Local Government if he will give details of publicly financed contracts which have been postponed or cancelled; and the estimated cost of each individual project.

No contracts placed directly by my Department have been postponed or cancelled. The timing of the various steps leading to the performance of local authority contracts would of course be, primarily, a matter for each local authority having regard, inter alia, to the need to accommodate disbursements to available resources; details of any such action necessary by local authorities in relation to their contracts generally would not be available to my Department.

No publicly financed contracts have been postponed or cancelled in the current financial year by the Offices or State-bodies for which I have responsibility.

Cavan: The answer as far as my Department is concerned is none.

My Department has not postponed or cancelled any contract.

There has been no recent case of this kind so far as my Department or Radio Telefís Éireann are concerned.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will give details of publicly financed contracts which have been postponed or cancelled; and the estimated cost of each individual project.

In the current financial year no contracts have been cancelled or postponed. Two have, however, been delayed and these are in respect of (i) long range surveillance radar at Dublin Airport—estimated cost £298,000; and (ii) DVOR/DME facility—that is, Doppler VHF Omnidirectional Radio Range/Distance Measuring Equipment—at Shannon Airport, estimated cost £141,000

It is not clear to what period the Deputy's question refers. However, over the past three years no such contracts have been postponed or cancelled by my Department or by any of the State-sponsored bodies operating under the aegis of my Department.

No such contracts for Educational purposes have been postponed or cancelled.

asked the Minister for Justice if he will give details of publicly financed contracts which have been postponed or cancelled; and the estimated cost of each individual project.

In so far as my Department is concerned the answer is nil.
