Assistance towards the training of staff for the hotel and catering industry is provided from the European Social Fund. This assistance has been given by way of grants to CERT Limited, the Council for the Education, Recruitment and Training, and to the Department of Education acting on behalf of certain vocational education committees.
The amount of social fund assistance approved for such training is £1,574,940 in respect of operations in the years 1973 to 1977.
