Vol. 290 No. 6

Business of Dáil.

In the light of a news items at 1.30 today to the effect that British SAS men were apprehended near the Border, would it be possible for the Minister for Justice to make a statement in the House, say at the end of Questions?

The Deputy should have given me notice of his intention to raise this matter.

On a point of information, the item stated that it is rumoured, not that it had happened.

It has been reported definitely.

I was listening to the news.

It is not relevant.

I understand the Garda will make a statement on it later in the afternoon. This is the place where such statements should be made and I would welcome such a statement from the Minister for Justice at the end of Questions.

Could we not ask that the Minister be requested to meet our wishes on this matter?
