andMr. Kitt asked the Minister for Social Welfare the total amount of unemployment benefit, unemployment assistance, including payments to smallholders, pay-related benefit and redundancy payments paid for the week ended 30th April, 1976.

Figures of expenditure for the week ended 30th April, 1976, on the services referred to by the Deputies are not yet available. However, in the week ended 10th April, 1976, which is the latest week for which figures are available, expenditure was approximately £830,000 on unemployment benefit, £1,000,000 on unemployment assistance, including smallholders, £150,000 on pay-related unemployment benefit and £80,000 on redundancy payments.
