Vol. 291 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Waterford Greyhound Track.

31.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries when Bord na gCon intends to develop, as already indicated by the board, the Waterford greyhound track; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am advised by the board that, while their plans for the development of the Waterford track are well advanced, site negotiations with adjoining land-owners and planning arrangements with the two local authorities concerned must of necessity take time and delay the start of the work.

On a point of order, through no fault of the Parliamentary Secretary the sound is very poor. I have checked with Deputy Callanan on these benches on this matter. The sound for Deputies on the back benches is extremely poor.
