Vol. 291 No. 15

Written Answers. - School Transport Service.

79.

asked the Minister for Education if he will arrange school transport to Portarlington national school, County Offaly, for children (details supplied) in Rathmore.

There is no record in the Department of an application for school transport to Portarlington national school having been made on behalf of the children concerned.

If an application is made in the normal way through the chairman of the schools board of management, the matter will be considered.

80.

asked the Minister for Education when free school transport will be provided for the children of a family (details supplied) in County Wicklow.

The children are basically eligible for free transport but their home is situated too far from the route of the transport service to Johnstown national school for their inclusion in the service to be feasible.
