Galway Harbour Commissioners' application for an order separating the offices of secretary, harbour master and collector of rates has been under consideration in my Department and I hope to make the necessary order at an early date. In the meantime I have given my consent to an appointment in a temporary capacity to the amalgamated office and I have asked the harbour commissioners for information for the purpose of declaring qualifications for the separate offices.
