asked the Minister for Lands when the shooting rights of tenants on the Ardilaun Estate, Cong, County Mayo, passed from former tenants to Lord Ardilaun; and the reason for such transfer.

Cavan): The shooting rights in question were conveyed to the former owners of the Ardilaun estate by the Congested Districts Board with the assent of the majority of the tenants concerned when their holdings were being sold to them under the Land Purchase Acts in the period 1918-22. Indeed, such conveyance was a condition of the purchase of the holdings by the board for resale to the tenants.

asked the Minister for Lands when the lease of shooting rights expires on the 25,000 acres of Ardilaun Estate, County Mayo.

Cavan): This lease is due to expire on 28th February, 1977.
