Vol. 295 No. 4

Written Answers. - School Transport Services.

84.

asked the Minister for Education if he will arrange to have school transport provided on a fare-paying basis to a person (name supplied) in County Offaly from Kinnity to Birr Secondary School.

This pupil resides in the Kilcormac catchment area and is eligible for free transport to that centre. If she does not wish to avail herself of this facility the alternative arrangement, namely making her own way to the catchment boundary and being transported to the next nearest centre, is unfortunately not available in this case because it is understood from the transport liaison officer that the bus on this route is carrying a full capacity load.
