Major improvement works at Waterford Barracks are not contemplated. The property is used for the training and accommodation of An Fórsa Cosanta Áitiúil and An Slua Muirí and is considered generally satisfactory for these purposes. Portions of the property have been made available to the Department of Posts and Telegraphs for storage purposes and to Waterford Corporation for Civil Defence purposes.
In recent years over £4,000 has been spent by my Department on maintenance works.
