asked the Minister for Local Government if he will arrange to have the remainder of a new house grant paid to a person (name supplied) in County Cork.

The applicant has not informed the Department that outstanding items of work notified to him on 22nd June, 1976, have been completed. However, a further inspection is being arranged with a view to payment of the balance, £125, of the grant, if in order.

The applicant's eligibility for the special rate of new house grant will be considered as soon as the application form, sent to him in May, 1976, is completed and returned to the Department.

The balance, £150, of the grant of £300 allocated in this case was paid to the applicant on 26th January, 1977.
