I have recently called for a full up-to-date appraisal of the fishing activities at Kilcummin and until this appraisal is completed I cannot say what money may be allocated towards harbour works there.

asked the Minister for Agriculture and Fisheries if he is aware of the urgent need to complete work on Killala pier, County Mayo; and if he will state when work will restart.
A full assessment is being made by my Department of the future of Killala as a fishing port and until this has been completed, I cannot say what further work on the pier would be justified.
