Vol. 296 No. 10

Written Answers. - Telephone Service.

102.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reasons for the delay in providing a telephone service for a person (name supplied) in County Dublin.

There was no undue delay in the case in question. The application which was for a non-priority residence line was made in August, 1976. Service was provided in January, 1977.

103.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the reasons for the delay in providing a telephone service for a person (name supplied) in County Meath.

The delay arose mainly because of the heavy volume of urgent engineering work on hands in the area. Terms were quoted recently to the person referred to and, if accepted, service will be provided within about two months.

104.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs the areas in County Kerry where public telephone kiosks will be erected during 1977.

Arrangements are in hand to provide a kiosk at Glencar within the next few months. I am unable to say at present what other kiosks may be provided in County Kerry during 1977.
