Vol. 297 No. 2

Written Answers. - Unemployment Benefit.

66.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why unemployment benefit in respect of two persons (details supplied) in Dublin has not been paid.

The persons concerned required to have at least 26 employment contributions paid or credited in respect of the 1975-76 contribution year to entitle them to unemployment benefit on their claims of 18th January, 1977. Certain inquiries had to be made regarding the stamping of their insurance cards for that year. On completion of these inquiries their claims were allowed and payments of all arrears of unemployment benefit due were made to them on Friday last. Further payments will continue as they fall due.
