Vol. 297 No. 4

Written Answers. - Disabled Person's Grant.

49.

asked the Minister for Local Government why a person (name supplied) in County Dublin has not been paid his disabled person's grant.

The special scheme of grants for the adaptation of houses to accommodate disabled persons is administered by local authorities. A grant will not be paid to the person named by the Deputy as the local authority will themselves carry out the work. I understand that they had difficulty in obtaining an acceptable tender but that they now expect work to commence shortly.
