The total amount of grants paid to St. Patrick's College, Maynooth in 1976 was £1,238,920, including a capital grant of £587,770. I have no function in the sanctioning of staff appointments in the college. The legislation now being prepared will provide for a governmental structure for the new University of Maynooth.
