The Nore and Barrow are listed numbers 18 and 23 respectively on the priority list of major catchments to be considered for treatment under the Arterial Drainage Act, 1945 but because of prior commitments in the arterial drainage programme it would be impossible to forecast at this stage when drainage schemes for these catchments might commence.
