Vol. 297 No. 7

Written Answers. - Electrical Equipment Interference.

58.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he is aware of the continuous interference on all electrical equipment from the RTE transmitter at Ballycommon, Tullamore, County Offaly; and, if so, the plans he has to remedy the situation.

I have received representations regarding interference with radio and television reception in the area mentioned but the extent of the problem is not clear yet. An RTE engineer is visiting the area specially to investigate the complaints made. It would assist the investigation if the Deputy could supply particulars of specific instances of interference of which he is aware.
