Vol. 297 No. 9

Written Answers. - Forestry Employee.

26.

asked the Minister for Fisheries if a former employee of the Forestry and Wildlife Service (details supplied) who has been unemployed since 1974 will be re-employed.

This man worked with the Forest and Wildlife Service of my Department only when work was in progress in his home area. He was given the option on a number of occasions of travelling to outlying sites but declined. Following a period of temporary lay-off in late 1974 he opted for redundancy and was paid a lump sum. There is not sufficient work in his home area to enable him to be re-employed.
