Vol. 297 No. 10

Written Answers. - Kerry Road Repair.

84.

asked the Minister for Transport and Power if he will arrange for a special grant under the ESB scheme for the repair of the Caherathrush bog road, Kells, County Kerry, which has completely collapsed due to heavy lorry traffic last year, in view of the fact that there are several thousand tons of turf to be delivered to the generating station at Caher-civeen from the bog areas which this road serves.

Cavan): Limited funds amounting to £4,000 for 1977 are available to the Kerry County Council for the repair of bog roads serving the ESB generating station at Cahirciveen. Application for a grant for the repair of the Caherathrush bog road should be made to the general supervisor of the ESB generating station who will in due course refer the application to the Kerry County Council who execute these repairs. The priority of the works to be executed is a matter for the Kerry County Council and this Department does not intervene in the matter.
