Vol. 298 No. 1

Written Answers. - Pay-Related Benefit.

62.

asked the Minister for Social Welfare why pay-related benefit has been stopped on a person (details supplied) in County Offaly.

The pay-related benefit entitlement of the person concerned on his claim of 18th December, 1976, depended on his earnings in the income-tax year 1974-75 i.e. from 6th April, 1974, to 5th April, 1975. As the particulars of his earnings in that year were not available to my Department, certain inquiries had to be made to establish the amount of these earnings. These inquiries have now been concluded and arrangements are being made to have all the arrears of pay-related benefit paid as soon as possible. Further payments will continue as they fall due.
