There is no loan application from Kerry County Council for the improvement and extension of public lighting before my Department. In November, 1976, however, I sanctioned a loan of £41,000 for this purpose.
I am surprised that Deputy O'Leary is not aware of this because his colleague, Deputy Spring, has been pressing it in this House for years. He has had a letter to that effect from me and I understood that it was read at a council meeting.
